Cloth Diapering

I would like to start off by saying that these reviews are based on what works for us. Every baby is very different. It takes time to find what works. I highly recommend ordering a cloth diaper trial if you are just getting started. Its a great way to try out different types of diapers without a large investment. The diapers are listed is alphabetical order.

Best Bottom Diapers: These diapers are on the way, so I will post a review as soon as we try them out:) More information can be found at http://www.bestbottomdiapers.com/. Retail price: $20.21 for 1 shell and 1 insert.

bumGenius Onesize 4.0: This is a onesize pocket diaper. The size is adjusted by snaps in the front. This diaper has worked great for us. The fit was perfect for Nathan. We haven't had any problems with leaks. We have the one with Aplix, so it provides a great fit around the waist as well. The insert is very absorbant. I also like that it has a snap for adjustment. I also like that this diaper dries quickly. We also found this diaper to be pretty trim for a onesize diaper. Right now, this is one of our go-to diapers. More information can be found at http://www.bumgenius.com/. Retail price: $17.95 for this one.

Charlie Banana Sized Diapers: These diapers are on their way, so I will post a review once they arrive. More information can be found at http://www.charliebanana.com/. Retail price: $17.88 to $18.88.

Flip Onesize Diaper with insert: This diaper is considered a hybrid diaper and is onesize. You can use the stay-dry insert, a prefold organic cotton insert, or a disposable insert. The size is adjusted by snaps in the front. This diaper was very absorbant, but we had leaks because of the fit. We just couldn't get the legs tight enough. The inserts are fairly wide, so it was quite bulky. It was also hader to prep because we couldn't keep it prepped and waiting. The insert would always fall out when we tried it. For some people, this system works very well. It just didn't for us. I did like that it dries quite quickly, though. More information can be found at http://www.flipdiapers.com/. Retail price: $16.95 w/stay-dry, $19.95 w/organic.

Fuzzi Bunz Onesize Diaper: This is a onesize pocket diaper. The size is adjusted by elastic around the legs and waist. For a onesize diaper, it was trimmer than some we tried. For us, this one just didn't work. There were almost too many setting options and we couldn't find that right fit. Also, the buttons for the leg elastic left marks on Nathan's legs. I felt that could cause problems down the road. Absorption wise, this was a great diaper. The insert did a great job of pulling moisture away from the skin. I really feel the only reason we had leak issues was because the fit wasn't right. One thing I do love about this diaper is that it dries quickly. More information can be found at http://www.fuzzibunz.com/. Retail price: $19.95, $21.95 with hemp.

Fuzzi Bunz Perfect Size Diaper: This is a sized pocket diaper. Different sizes are needed as your child grows. Right now we have a small on Nathan, but the rise is no longer high enough. We love this diaper, though. We always can get a great fit easily with it. The rise is a little too short, so have had some close calls, but no actual leaks. The insert is vert absorbant and the diaper dries quickly. This diaper is also very trim. The only downside is that we will have to buy different sizes with this one. More information can be found at http://www.fuzzibunz.com/. Retail price: $17.95, $19.95 with hemp.
